Financial planning can feel daunting and overwhelming when…
supplies needed:
· pencil
· scissors
· red construction paper
· red, pink and white tissue paper
· clear contact paper
· glitter
what to do:
- Fold a piece of construction paper and draw half a heart with your pencil along the fold. Draw another half a heart about an inch inside the original line. Using your scissors, cut the folded paper along the lines that you drew. Unfold to reveal your heart-shaped outline.
- Cut two pieces of clear contact paper big enough to fit the heart outline you just made from construction paper. Place one sheet off to the side for later. Remove the backing of the other sheet and place it on a table so the adhesive side is up. Carefully place your heart outline onto the contact paper.
- Cut your tissue paper into small squares and place them within the heart outline however you like. Lightly sprinkle a bit of glitter within the paper heart outline. Now that your heart is decorated, remove the protective film from your second piece of contact paper. Carefully place it adhesive side down over the other piece of contact paper. Press to seal firmly. Once it is sealed, trim the excess contact paper along the outside of the paper heart. Be sure to leave a small outline along the outer edge to help keep it stuck together.
- Now that your valentine sun catcher is finished, find a window in your home to tape it to. Or feel free to share it with someone you care about this Valentine’s Day!
