Financial planning can feel daunting and overwhelming when…
One of the wonderful things about fall is the weather is typically not too hot and not too cold so you can spend a lot of time outside having fun. Here are a few ideas of some low-cost activities you can do with your friends and family this season.
1 go on a nature hike
Fall is an exciting time to visit your local parks and see nature at its finest. While there you can explore their trails, go bird watching and even check out the leaves changing colors. Some pumpkin patches and apple orchards even offer trails to explore during the fall which can be beautiful places to take the family and pick up some treats.
2 have fun with leaves
If you are into arts and crafts projects, fall leaves can make excellent material to create wonderful decor for your home. They can be collected and made into wreaths, centerpieces and other creative DIY projects. If you’re not feeling as crafty, another fun activity to do with leaves is to rake up large piles and jump into them. No matter how young or old you are, it’s always a blast to see the leaves fly.
3 camp in the backyard
Camping isn’t just for summer and isn’t just for campgrounds, you can camp under the stars right in your backyard in the fall. Some wonderful things about camping at home are that you don’t have to pay for the site and worry about if you forgot to pack the snacks since you can always raid your own pantry. So set up your tent and enjoy the great outdoors before it gets too chilly.
4 tailgate at home
Football is best enjoyed with friends but getting a group to a live game can be stressful and expensive. One way to beat both of those is to throw your own tailgating party in either your garage or backyard. There you can set up a few tables for food, have friends bring over their favorite snacks and even toss around a football before the game starts. No matter which team wins or loses, everyone is sure to have a fun time.
